Out now: Energy poverty book with MIT Press

Our MIT Press book “Escaping the Energy Poverty Trap: When and How Governments Power the Lives of the Poor” is available for pre-order now. This book offers the first comprehensive political science account of energy poverty, one of the biggest energy challenges our societies in the 21st century face. We argue that government interest, institutional capacity, and local accountability are key determinants of why governments have or have not been able to lead in providing modern energy to their least advantaged citizens.
